Our Scholarships
The Mary Joy Moosman Foundation currently has 9 scholarships available to graduating seniors from Troup High School, LaGrange High School, and Callaway High School in Troup County, GA. There will be one student chosen for each scholarship from each school. Award amounts are $1500 for Troup High School and $500 for LaGrange High School and Callaway High School. Scholarship applications are open now through Sunday, March 15th. Scholarship recipients will be awarded at their school’s Honor’s program.
Academic Scholarship
The purpose of the Mary Joy Moosman Foundation Academic Scholarship is to recognize and support a graduating senior who exemplifies the same drive for academic achievement, leadership, and service that Mary Joy Moosman demonstrated throughout her life. The recipient will be a student who not only excels in the classroom but also embodies the values of compassion, integrity, and perseverance, which Mary Joy lived by.
Cheer Scholarship
This scholarship aims to support a senior Competitive and/or Game Day cheerleader who demonstrates not only athletic excellence and leadership, but also the heart, kindness, and perseverance that Mary Joy embodied. The recipient of this scholarship will be a student who exemplifies the qualities of dedication to team, community involvement, academic achievement, and an overall positive attitude, just as Mary Joy did throughout her life.
Soccer Scholarship
This scholarship aims to support a senior varsity soccer player who demonstrates the same qualities of leadership, perseverance, and compassion that Mary Joy showed throughout her life. The recipient will be a student-athlete who stands out not only for their athletic achievements, but also for their positive influence on the Troup High School community, their commitment to teamwork, and their drive to make a difference in the world.
